Hello mi familia

logan mission pic hats.jpg

Hey Family!  In church this week I learned a valuable lesson. God can take his time, but he always comes through for the faithful.  They talked about how Jesus waited many days before he want to heal Lazarus and they even said if he had been there sooner Lazarus wouldn`t be dead.  But Jesus wanted to prove a point, that it doesn`t matter how long it takes for God. It doesn`t matter how difficult it seems, because God can do it but in his own time.  I learned that the hard way.

Because the last 3 weeks were rough for me, but this week was 100000 times better then the last few weeks!  We had some cool people go to church and we found a really cool guy that really wants to be baptized with his daughter in 2 weeks!  God does miracles for those that have patience.

We also got to see D Todd Christofferson this week and that was really cool that I got the chance before I left to hear from him.  It was a really good conference and I learned a lot. I wish I had more time to use what I learned but I guess I can apply it in my life back home!

I love the missionary work. I am so glad that I am going to come home and see you guys but I know that I am going to miss all the good times out here and that I won`t be able to get this time back.  I want to serve these last two weeks hard to show the Lord how much I love him. Please pray for Fidel and Estrella his daughter that they can be baptized.  I hope you all know how much I love and miss everyone of you!  Take care and I will talk to you all next week!

Love,
Elder Hirschi

Hey Guys 3 Weeks Left!!

115_1411.JPG

Wow I can´t believe that I made it to the 3 week mark. I feel like yesterday mom sent me a package for the hump day 1 year mark with Elder Taylor!  It feels so weird to be finishing the mission. I know that I am going to keep working hard until the last day but it just feels strange.

We didn´t have the best week ever, but like I said last week was so bad that this week was a lot better!  It was pretty much a normal week. We taught a whole bunch of people and we got 42 new people to teach this week!  That was a huge blessing I hope they will all go to church this Sunday!

Anyways I love you all tons take care and don´t forget to read and pray everyday of the week!

From,
Elder Hirschi

Hey guys, I am doing well!  I actually have to go soon sorry!  I had a really rough week but I learned a lot.  The best part about having a bad week is that the next week will always be better right haha?

Anyways I hope that you are doing well and I invite you all to read the book of Mormon and pray daily as our beloved Prophet has asked of us.  I love you all and I miss you tons!  Nos vemos!

1. What did you learn or do at the conference with President recently?
We learned about Alma and how we need to be like Angels and work with the members so that we can help the less actives come back to church!

2. How is it being back in Iquique? Do you see a lot of the members you saw before?
Good I did see a lot of people from before and it is pretty cool!

Wow this week was super hyped and then it sort of fell through.  Elder Coleman and I have been working hard this week!  Beyond hard we have working so much.  We talked to everyone and invited everyone to church. I have almost never been this tired before on the mission (or maybe I`m just getting old haha).  But we worked so hard and we even called everyone to check if they were going to come to church.  Sadly we only had 1 investigator in church and everyone canceled on us :(.

This week is going to be a very good week though because we have a conference with President.  We are going to have to work hard so that God will bless us with a miracle.  I hope the brother that came to church is willing to be baptized. We are going to have to teach him a little more.

I love you all and thank you for everything that you do for me I miss ya tons!  Take care and I will talk to you next week.  Chau!

Reborn

IMG_20180827_131342.jpg

Well we had transfers this week and it looks like I got sent to... drum roll please!  IQUIQUE again haha! That`s right I`m back in Iquique, which is like 10 minutes from Alto Hospicio, in a ward that`s called Reborn or Renacimiento in Spanish.  It looks like God wants me to be reborn this last transfer and work as hard as I can to find new people to teach!

I`m with a cool new companion his name is Elder Coleman, but I call him Elder Coolman haha.  He is a very good missionary and wants to work hard to bring others unto Christ.

Sounds like everyone's doing well back home, and that you had a fun family reunion this year.  I wish that I could have been there, but I will be there soon enough haha.  Anyways I have to go, but I love you all and miss ya tons!  Take care.

Love,
Elder Hirschi :)

Noche Blanca

DSC00129.JPG

We had an awesome week this week!. We had something that is called a noche blanca (white night).  Where all the people that are going to get baptized on Saturday go to the same service so that it can be a little bit more special.  ANGEL got baptized!  Wow thanks so much for your prayers and all that you guys have done I know that through our efforts God, blessed us and made it possible that Angel could get baptized!

Now we have to find more people that are getting ready to be baptised, because a lot of our investigators don´t want to go to church haha.  Lets see if we can find a way to help them go to church!

Also we got to see the opening of a mission call of someone from our Branch. His name is Juan Pablo!  He is super cool!  He is going to Buenos Aires Argentina and he is going to be a very good missionary.

Thanks for everything you guys do I miss ya tons!  I hope you are all doing well!  Stay safe and I will talk to ya next week.

Love,
Elder Hirschi

Hello Familia

logan mission pic2.jpg
Sorry I also don´t have any time this week!  It´s crazy how much stuff I want to say but there´s just no time!  I have to write a lot of people still so I hope you can all forgive me!

We had an alright week!  Elder Flores is a beast. He talks with everyone and teaches with the spirit.  Sadly Angel doesn´t want to get baptized so we are still working with him, but we have to pass by less and less.  But we have a really cool investigator named Felipe and he is going to be baptized soon, ojala (hopefully).

Anyways pray for him and that we can find new people to teach, and I invite you all to spread the gospel and invite other people to the church because it can bring lots of joy and many blessings.  I love you all. Take care and have a good week!

Love,
Elder Hirschi

1. Have you been feeling well lately?
I am doing awesome, but Elder Taylor my companion in Iquique got sick and he actually passed out, so please pray for him that he can get better!  Although he is doing a lot better now!

3.  How was the conference with the mission president?
It was really good, I liked what the mission president's wife said, that we have to be a missionary with high expectations and have lots of love for the people!
